I have been very lucky to work for a brand for 10 years which has allowed me to not only progress in my career from admin to exec, to manager… But also which has allowed me to work in so many industries and sectors. From Ecommerce platforms, 100+ International Retail Shops and Cafes, to Restaurants, Hotels & Cocoa Plantations in the Caribbean. My career has been a very long way from ‘just one job selling chocolate’. (But chocolate alone is still pretty awesome!)
F&B products I’ve marketed include everything from chocolate, cakes and alcohol to hot drinks, snacks and ice cream. But I’ve also marketed subscriptions through a 100k member’s monthly club. I’ve worked with beauty through a range of cocoa cosmetics. I’ve even worked with financial products in the form of a chocolate bond…paying out a premium in chocolate! Marketing table menus at Restaurants, or rooms through trip advisor in Hotels, I’ve been lucky to do a lot.
Those industries combined with constant career progression to Marketing Management. And with it hundreds of campaigns covering budgets and sales for SEO, PPC, Affiliate, Email, Social, Direct Mail, Door Drops, PR, Events, Exhibitions, Telemarketing etc etc… and you can start to see how its never felt like I’ve been ‘in one job’. Plus this year I experienced what it is like for a business to go public on the London Stock Exchange! It’s not been boring and I’m always excited for what’s next…
